2012 Senior Letter New Principal Returns to Osos!We are excited that at the February 7th meeting, the Board of Trustees named Ms. Susan Petrocelli as the Los Osos High School Principal, effective July 1, 2012! Ms. Petrocelli had been a teacher and assistant principal at Los Osos and for the last two years has been an assistant principal at Rancho Cucamonga and Colony High Schools. Dear Grizzlies: It is difficult to believe that the end of the school year is approaching quickly! While it will be a great time to relax, read for pleasure, and enjoy time off with family and friends, it is also the ideal time to reflect upon the past year and prepare for the future. I encourage all parents and students to take a few minutes to pause and take the opportunity to celebrate your accomplishments as well as to plan for your personal improvement. The 2011-2012 school year was filled with many successes as our students continued to excel in the classrooms, on stage, in the athletic arenas, and in the community—yet we can always improve! Listed below is the final exam schedule. We try to limit our after school and evening activities during finals week so that students will be able to rest and prepare to do their best. As always, we encourage kids to get a good night’s sleep and have a healthy breakfast before coming to school. Monday, May 21 Periods 3 (8:05-10:05) and 5 (10:25-12:25) Tuesday, May 22 Periods 1 (8:05-10:05) and 6 (10:25-12:25) Wednesday, May 23 Periods 2 (8:05-10:05) and 4 (10:25-12:25) We are in the final stretch of the semester and I encourage you to follow up with your student to be sure that he/she finishes the year strongly. I wish all of you the best during the summer and offer my most sincere congratulations to the graduating Class of 2012!

FREE TUTORING!Free tutoring is available in the Library for all students in any subjects according to the schedule listed below. The tutoring is provided by our National Honor Society (NHS) students. No need to sign up or make an appointment; feel free to stop by on a regular basis or just when you need additional help. Monday -Thursday 7:00-8:00 AM and 3:00-4:00 PM During both lunches everyday A credentialed math teacher will also be available to provide free tutoring after school on Mondays and Wednesdays and a Chaffey College student is available to tutor on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
