Dear Grizzly Family,
We are beyond excited for the upcoming school year and I am humbled and honored to be the new Principal at Los Osos High School. This year we will be celebrating 15 years of Grizzly excellence. During this time, Los Osos has enjoyed much success in academics, athletics, arts and activities. Understanding our vison, all students will graduate ready for college and careers, drives our staff to continually focus on providing effective classroom instruction and increasing student achievement. In addition, we will continue to work hard to provide all students with a safe and equitable school environment to foster their individual growth.
Parents, you play an equally important role in the success of both your student and our school. We encourage you to emphasize the importance of student learning and daily attendance with your child, communicate often with our teachers who are here to support all of our Grizzlies and regularly monitor grades and academic progress through School Loop. We believe in WE>I, meaning working together we will accomplish so much more than working as individuals. These are key ingredients to a successful school.
I am extremely excited for the 2016-17 school year and we look forward to seeing all of our Grizzlies back on Monday, August 8th for the first day of school.
Mr. Joshua Kirk
