Dear Grizzly Nation,

We are at the start of the spring semester and I cannot tell you how excited I am to have you all back on campus.  I hope you all enjoyed your much needed winter break and have returned ready to have a fantastic second semester.

This semester I really want to challenge all Grizzlies to start AND finish strong.  Let’s complete all of our assignments because we know that zeros absolutely hurt your grade.  Take advantage of all the ways your teachers are here to support you by asking questions, attending tutoring and Saturday School sessions.  Furthermore, let’s continue to work on earning the highest grades we can with nothing less than a C in all of our classes. Doing so gives you the best opportunity to complete your A-G requirements which prepare you for both college and career options for your future.

Just as important, I want to see that Grizzly Pride all around campus.  This means attending and supporting activities and events on campus, being respectful to your fellow Grizzlies and even keeping our campus clean by picking up our trash.  These are all key components we must do in order to continue building our WE>I culture.

I am proud of your hard work so far but we are not done yet.  Let’s make second semester even better than first semester and finish the year strong.

Claws Up!

Mr. Joshua Kirk
Principal

Dear Distinguished School Award Recipient,

Congratulations on successfully completing the 2013 California Distinguished School application process, and being recognized as one of our 218 California Middle and High Distinguished Schools! This award is a direct reflection of the dedication, hard work, and vision of your school’s educational community, and I am pleased to be able to award this honor to your school.
