As we start the process of wrapping up the school year, I would like to thank everyone for their role in helping to make the 2015-2016 school year a success. I encourage you to take this time to discuss with your student the importance of staying focused academically and behaviorally in order to finish the school year in a positive way. Please remind your student that it is not too late to increase their time and effort on their studies; working to complete their assignments and prepare for final exams.
With graduation on the horizon, it is an exciting time of the year for our senior students. Graduation will take place at Grizzly Stadium on Thursday, May 19th at 6:30 P.M.
Regular Summer School Program
Summer School will begin Monday, May 23rd and will end on Thursday, June 30th. Summer School begins at 8:30 A.M. and ends at 1:30 P.M.

New Construction Technology Course
Exploring Construction Technology Course
Los Osos High School is seeking students interested in taking a course designed to train them in the areas of Construction Technology. Students will learn important hands on experience in the construction trades including plan reading, framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, roofing, and finish carpentry.
The class will be in a two period block, period 0 & 1, with a start time of 7:02 a.m. This means you will earn 10 credits for completion instead of five for a regular class.
Space is limited.

Aeries.net Parent Portal Accounts Now Available!
The Chaffey Joint Union High School District is pleased to announce the Aeries.net Parent Portal. This new tool allows parents the opportunity to electronically update student information and complete the summer mailer online. This process is optional and ready now! Here’s how to get started:

Congratulations on successfully completing the 2013 California Distinguished School application process, and being recognized as one of our 218 California Middle and High Distinguished Schools! This award is a direct reflection of the dedication, hard work, and vision of your school’s educational community, and I am pleased to be able to award this honor to your school.
This year we will be recognizing the 2013 Distinguished Middle and High Schools along with the Exemplary Program Honors, the 2012 National Blue Ribbon Schools, and the 2013 Title I Academic Achievement Award Schools.
