All Calls

August 19, 2019

Good evening, Grizzlies. This is Mrs. Morton, Assistant Principal at Los Osos High School.  I’m calling to remind you that we have a closed campus and no drop off policy:

Given the tragedies we have witnessed in schools across the country, we have decided to take proactive steps to ensure a safe campus. Therefore, for the safety and security of your child and all Los Osos students and staff, no items will be accepted for drop-off in the front office. This could include, but is not limited to:  food, phones, clothing, school work and materials, athletic equipment, and so on.

In addition, we are a closed campus. Non-students and unauthorized visitors are NOT allowed on campus during the school day. The District considers the safety and health of our staff and students a top priority. The District believes there is a safer way to monitor visitors on our campuses and has replaced the paper visitor sign-in sheets with the LobbyGuard Visitor Management System. You will continue to be required to present your identification to the office staff.

Thank you for your understanding Grizzlies. Have a great night!

 Claws Up!

August 14, 2019

Good evening,

This is Mr. Kirk, principal at Los Osos High School.  I am calling you this evening to invite all of our freshmen parents to participate in a brief survey about our school district.

Each year, our district surveys thousands of stakeholders to gather input about the services we are providing families and students.  This information contributes to the development of our annual Local Control and Accountability Plan, a plan that outlines the services, supports, interventions, investments, and more that we make to provide the best possible education for all of our students.

Your voice matters and we value your feedback and input.

I ask that you take a few moments this evening to take this important survey.  You can find it by going to our website at or our school’s homepage and it can also be taken via cell phone with no need to log-on.  Please click the link to the 2019 Parent and Family Partnership Survey located on the left of our homepage under Quick Links. A School Loop message was also sent out to all freshmen students and parents with this information and a link for the survey.

The survey only takes a few minutes.  It is available in English and Spanish for parents.

Again, we appreciate your participation in this important survey.  If you have any questions, please contact us at (909) 477-6900
